Senior Sales Engineer - Decentralized Solutions

Responsibilities

  • Sales and delivery of concepts for E.ON customers, including developing, maintaining and improving relationships on all business levels and active involvement in the development of a customer-focused strategy
  • Maintaining and developing of contacts and relationships with customers up to top management levels
  • Recommendation of strategic and technical responses to market trends to ECT and E.ON top management including their implementation within ECT
  • Defining, implementing and reviewing account strategies with line managers and peers
  • Identification of important stakeholders in customer processes
  • Secure sales set-up with respect to capacities and qualification
  • Lead resources, drive performance management, coaching of region sales management teams (technical sales and proposal management)
  • Ensure correct initiation of tenders, proper technical and contractual handling and manage proposal development process
  • Collaboration with relevant E.ON Business Units

Qualifications

  • University degree in Industrial Engineering, electrical engineering or in related fields
  • In-depth experience in sales and contract management, Build-Own-Operate (BOO) models and Combined Heating, Cooling and Power (CHCP) projects
  • Profound knowledge of German energy market with a strong focus on renewable and decentralized energy technologies
  • Sales professional with a good track record of achievements concerning decentralized energy technologies or other highly complex and customer specific solutions in industrial sectors
  • Analytical thinker with advanced communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to build credible relationships with multiple functions and levels
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • Ability to execute on priorities and effectively control milestones (project mode)
  • Business fluent in German and English
