Group Well Engineering and Delivery Department is looking for the Head of Operations Excellence to provide leadership, strategy, business and technical expert support for MOL Group Operations Excellence activities covering all aspect of improving the MOL’s Upstream Asset Operations. This will include implementation of standardized Production and Maintenance methods, which shall be implemented in MOL worldwide operations.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

  • To provide leadership, and develop the Operations Excellence team capabilities in line with MOL Group’s strategic and business objectives, and ensure MOL Group has the right level of competencies, capabilities and capacity to deliver exceptional operation performance;
  • To support the development and implementation of MOL Group HSE strategy with respect to Operations activities;
  • Ensure opportunities for new technologies, equipment and tools are evaluated and implemented to improve the quality and efficiency of production and maintenance;
  • Have functional leadership role for the production and maintenance communities in the OpCo’s ensuring continues development of the identified talents;
  • Ensure strong technical support is provided to the OpCo’s within production and Maintenance optimization;
  • Engage with the OpCo and Flagship Operations Managers to ensure MOL Group standards are implemented, good oilfield practice is followed, and that they have adequate resources to deliver MOL Group strategy and business plan;
  • Both internal and external representation at MOL Group level in coordination and/or decision-making meetings or forums – according to instructions of Group Project Delivery and Production SVP;
  • Support the budget planning process in MOL Group;
  • To develop and maintain a Facility Integrity Management System that complies with MOL Group’s standards and relevant local legislation;
  • To develop and maintain a Production Management System that complies with MOL Group’s standards and relevant local legislation;
  • Ensure that lost oil is accounted for and analyzed in order to eliminate as much as possible;
  • Improve MOL US reporting system on Operational performance;
  • Be the technical lead on Shaikan Field.

Requirements

  • Engineering degree;
  • 15 – 20 years relevant professional experience;
  • Minimum 5 years relevant managerial experience;
  • Leadership in all aspects of HSE and personally committed to demonstrating excellence in HSE behavior;
  • Compliance with MOL Group HSE requirements;
  • Strive to continuously improve HSE performance, behaviors and attitudes;
  • Strong communication skills combined with persuasion;
  • Flexibility and cooperation;
  • Business approach and customer focus;
  • Cost and Quality awareness;
  • Results oriented mindset;
