What we are looking for

  • Responsible for monitoring market activities of Uniper;
  • Performs investigations on potential suspicious trading behavior;
  • Supports sharpening the surveillance process/system to make it more effective and efficient;
  • Responsible for managing the follow up on new MAR developments and drives the implementation of regulatory requirements;
  • Follow up of findings from monitoring activities;
  • Continuously advise and support in the context of the proper trading behavior;
  • Pro-actively advise in the context of the introduction of new products, services or organizational changes at Uniper;
  • Support the development and enhancement of relevant pattern/scenario analysis and develop risk assessments of its effectiveness and adequacy;
  • Supports the preparation of reports to relevant stakeholders;
  • Define and further develop the compliance framework;
  • Represents Uniper in regulatory working groups;
  • Responsible for the management of internal stakeholders;
  • Opportunity to work in a multinational team, being in contact with various departments across Uniper.

Who we are seeking

  • University degree or equivalent in Finance, Business Information Systems, Business Administration, Economic Sciences or similar discipline;
  • Expertise in Market Surveillance activities for financial and physical products;
  • Deep understanding of trading patterns and the ability to design investigation methods to identify patterns;
  • Knowledge in the area of regulations (MAR, EMIR, REMIT MiFID, etc.);
  • Deep knowledge of energy trading, esp. products traded, markets, portfolios;
  • Strong analytical skills;
  • Attention to detail to ensure accurate and complete documentation of decision making;
  • Strong communication skills, including ability to present complex matters in a clear and comprehensive way;
  • Strong individual initiative, high level of commitment and motivation;
  • Understanding of using Tableau is an advantage;
  • Ability to transform data into information is an advantage;
  • Experienced in Energy Trading Systems and related data flows;
  • Strong communication and networking skills;
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken), German language skills would be advantageous.
