This role sits within the S&P Global Platts Product organization and leads a team that works closely with customers to understand requirements and ensures delivery of products that meet Customer needs and aligns with business strategy. We are looking for a Director with a client centric focus to help drive growth and expansion of our solutions in the Refined Oil market. This role reports to the Platts Chief Product Officer.
This position provides the opportunity to play a highly involved strategic role within S&P Global Platts by defining and managing the business plan for our various commodities. This role supports the development life cycle of S&P Global Platts products globally in the Refined products commodity. This position will partner with stakeholders in technology, sales, sales support, marketing, operations and the broader product management team to: (a) assess and size market opportunities to feed into product (develop and improve new and existing products) through desktop and market research; (b) support go-to-market activities in partnership with other cross functional teams; (c) support product positioning by developing and delivering thought leadership in the form of topical research for this space and other marketing driven collateral.
The Sr. Director Commodity Solutions – Refined Products will act as a business owner and manage a specific commodity solutions line. The S&P Global Platts Product organization is organized by commodity including Crude Oil & Shipping, Refined Products, Global Gas & Power, Petrochemicals and Metals & Agriculture.
Manage a team of Product Managers who will execute in three key areas:
Manage BAU and transition the existing product portfolio for Refined solutions from legacy delivery mechanisms into our single web platform Understand market need for Refined products and within the technology framework, create value add solutions into your main “commodity solutions line”. Ideate, research, document, size and defend solid business plans for the advancement of the franchise in the region advocating for most pervasive and profitable enhancements/new product opportunities. Manage the process to launch new content and capabilities, in addition to retiring end of life or redundant product offerings before transitioning to our single technology platform
