Role Summary:

The Senior Sales Manager will be responsible for growing the GE renewables business, by developing a pipeline of profitable wind projects.

Essential Responsibilities:

The role will involve:

  • Developing close relationships with wind developers, utilities and financial investors;
  • Responsible for mapping the designated market and supporting GE marketing and product development functions;
  • Interpreting policy and energy market with a view to influencing sale strategy;
  • Insuring GE wind products and services have a favorable consideration in all wind projects at early stage to support pipeline development;
  • Create close working relationships with assigned accounts and develop a thorough understanding of their project strategies and needs;
  • Provide commercial and technical assistance to assigned accounts with focus on understanding their business models and identify how GE contributes to deliver added value (LCOE);
  • Develop strategic plan and close sales opportunities within assigned accounts and geographic territory to exceed orders plan;
  • Lead a cross functional team to deliver compelling offers to the GE contract review board and customer;
  • Be accountable for new accounts introduction to GE legacy and market penetration;
  • Be accountable for orders, pricing/profitability, risk, terms & conditions, team and customer satisfaction;
  • Identify, understand, and communicate to the Renewables business, customer requirements, from both project specific and their business in general;
  • Identify potential growth market segments and define and implement relevant growth strategy/initiatives that fit with the Renewables business imperatives;
  • Work effectively in a team environment and build a dedicated team spirit with col-leagues from Commercial Operations, Technical Operations, Engineering, Finance, and OTR to insure the most efficient use of all resources;
  • Participate in and support wind trade shows, conferences, and other market development activities;
  • The successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to work closely with product management, supply chain, finance, marketing and commercial operations as well as industry and authorities;
  • Remain flexible to cover additional markets within the Northern Europe and support other teams where required.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering discipline, Finance, and/or advanced business degree with applicable industry experience or equivalent knowledge or experience;
  • Existing experience and relationships within the energy or renewables market;
  • Practical understanding of regulation of local wind energy market and customer financial drivers and needs;
  • Understand project economics and financial value engineering;
  • Strong customer orientation and external focus;
  • Significant relevant sales, commercial and/or business development experience in the Wind energy industry, with proven track record;
  • Willingness to travel frequently;
  • Excellent oral and written communication in English and or Finnish, Swedish, Danish;
  • Time management skills, flexibility and ability to work under pressure;
  • Self-starter with high energy and ability to energize others, team player;
  • High level of Integrity;
  • Experience within the Nordic market and culture;
  • EU Work Permit.
