Scope of work

As a consultant for the construction of a 446 MW combined-cycle power generation plant in Landivisiau.

As early as the engineering studies phase, you will mobilize an engineer from yourconstruction department (the Civil Engineering Supervisor) to ensure that the EPC Builder prepares the site.

This period will allow to develop with the EPC Builder the following modalities:

  • Establishment of temporary worksites;
  • Definition of the communication modalities on the site, including with the Security Coordinator and the staff of the control offices;
  • Being the only representative on site for 10 months, before mobilizing the rest of the site team, you will interface with the Client and the EPC;
  • Definition of how to monitor the progress of work.

The mission of the construction supervision team includes:

  • Review of the construction procedures established by the EPC Builder as the work progresses;
  • The follow-up of the progress of works according to the schedule established by the EPC Builder, the analysis of the delays, and the proposal of acceleration measures, the follow-up of the progress of works compared to the forecast curves established by the EPC Builder;
  • Analysis of the EPC Builder’s monthly construction report;
  • The preparation of the AMO’s monthly activity report for the Construction part;
  • Technical and qualitative advice to the Owner;
  • Participation in daily, weekly and monthly meetings, with the EPC manufacturer, and the various external stakeholders (control offices, RTE, GRTgaz, etc.);
  • An assessment of the quality of construction work for each of the disciplines (civil engineering, mechanical assembly, electrical installation and control order …), and in particular an assessment of the conformity of the works with the codes & standards, the building and operating permits, the contractual specifications, and the EPC Manufacturer’s own design;
  • The information and the alert of the Project Manager AMO, and the Owner of any observed or anticipated deviation;
  • The establishment and monitoring of the list of construction reserves and the monitoring of the “Mechanical Completion”, by subset;
  • Verification of As-Built plans.

Qualifications/Background

  • You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree with experience in Electrical combined-cycle power generation;
  • You have working experience of EPC projects;
  • You have a very good command of French and good English is a plus.
