JOB DESCRIPTION

The Power Systems Group announces a new opening as Research Engineer to work on competitive research project in the field of Floating wind energy within the framework of H2020 EU COREWIND project. The tasks to be carried out will be focused to the development of models for floating wind turbines, techno-economic analysis of the different substructures, stress and loads impacts on cables as well as layout optimization of the whole wind farm.

Qualifications and experience required:

Essential:

  • Bachelor or Master in Industrial engineering, civil engineering or similar;
  • Experience with offshore energy technologie;
  • Knowledge in electrical engineering, monitoring, maintenance or similar is required. Experience in modeling and control, of renewable energy are expected;
  • Experience in work in international environment will be valued.

Preferred:

  • Interest in developing a PhD thesis and research activities;
  • Experience in cost analysis and energy estimation.

Language required:

  • Fluent in Spanish and English.
