Responsibilities

As a Deputy Supervisor, you will both have technical, administrative and managing tasks. Together with the Site Supervisor you supply the management with an overview of the site.

Your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Provide leadership and be a point of contact offshore;
  • Act with integrity and provide coaching with safety issues offshore;
  • Arrive early to support supervisors in the morning with work preparation and organisation;
  • Deliver morning safety briefs and tool box talks on the vessel;
  • Collate turbine performance issues and technical issues from the offshore teams and feedback to site management;
  • Provide feedback on technician and subcontractor offshore performance;
  • Support site operations and liaise with technical support on technical issues offshore;
  • Manage subcontractors offshore;
  • Escort visitors and facilitate audits offshore;
  • Support HSE with safety issues, investigations and solutions;
  • Assist the offshore teams, identifying areas for continuous improvement;
  • Provide supervision for large scale tasks (such as main component exchanges);
  • Assist with benchmarking and the sharing of best practices;
  • Support Site Supervisor on weather days with planning, technical issues and organising weather day tasks;
  • Deputise in absence of the site supervisor onshore;
  • Communicate with the vessel skippers and back office onshore, regarding weather conditions and transfers;
  • Assist the offshore team and A/E with documentation improvements and suggestions.

Skills & experience

You have at least 2 years of experience with electrical and/or mechanical systems, preferably offshore and/or with high voltage. You have professional wind turbine experience and you are comfortable working offshore and at heights. As a person, you are flexible, reliable technically competent and a team player, and you are able to influence, motivate and lead others in a positive manner. You are a self-starter with good organisational and time management skills.

We expect that you:

  • Have completed an electrical degree from a technical school;
  • Have excellent communication skills;
  • Know how to manage general safety and safety awareness;
  • Are a native Dutch speaker with good English skills;
  • Are willing to travel to other sites when required (especially in the beginning);
  • Have a full driver’s license;
  • Have basic knowledge of MS Office.
