XSIGHT Petrochemicals Product Manager

Within the XSIGHT Division – Petrochemicals Product Management Function, execute the business development activities aimed at acquiring new projects, establish contacts with leading technology licensors, follow proposals preparation and carry out offers negotiations and finalization, establish long lasting relationship with key Clients in the petrochemicals business.

Profile main tasks:

  • Perform commercial activities (promotion, pre-qualification and bidding) by assuring uniform approach and guidance across the various initiatives with the contribution of Delivery Managers
  • Identify business/technological opportunities and projects in the relevant product line that are of Saipem potential interest
  • Coordinate and contribute to proposals preparation during projects bidding phase
  • Contribute as required, to the definition of a partnering strategy for projects acquisition and execution with relevant pre-bid agreements.
  • Contribute to the definition of the bidding strategy together Partners (if existing) and also with the contribution of the Delivery Managers
  • Support the Product Manager in negotiations with clients to reach an agreement on the pricing, commercial, contractual and technical aspects of the Proposal and in the formalization of contracts
  • Ensure in collaboration with the Delivery Manager, the definition of the list of activities and deliverables, setup time schedule and coordinate activities in accordance with bid requirements
  • Keep close contacts and communication with the Project Manager, Delivery Manager to regularly monitor acquired project execution
  • Support the R&D and innovation projects when required

Profile requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in the Oil & Gas Industry, particularly dedicated to petrochemical products and technologies in different project engineering phases
  • Preferred knowledge and experience with projects adopting world leading technologies for polyolefins production plants (PE, PP), chemicals derivatives (ethylene, propylene, aromatics ), elastomers
  • Strong attitude to easily establish positive personal relationship with people together with effective communication skills. This includes public presentations and speaches.
  • Advanced knowledge of English language oral and written
  • Advanced skills in the most common MS Office applications and Office365 suite
  • Availability to business trips/missions
  • Master Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Energy)

  • Tenacity and determination to pursue objectives set for the business line
  • Strong attitude to collaborate with colleagues and Clients establishing positive and long lasting relations
  • Ability to manage teams during workshops and review meetings
  • Good knowledge of Office suite, particularly Project and Excel applications.
