Job Profile Summary:

Responsible for supporting the accurate and timely completion of settlement activities within area of responsibility, using basic technical capabilities to manage accounts receivable and accounts payable invoices, resolve disputes, provide projected cash flows and support business relationships and process improvement opportunities.

If you join our Settlements team, you may have the following responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of 3rd parties to settle executed trades;
  • Accountable for the accurate and timely completion of Settlements activities within area of responsibility:
    • Generate customer invoices and supporting documentation;
    • Settle all 3rd party transactions per contractual terms;
    • Ensure funds are received and paid on time and accurately; liaise with counterparties should any discrepancies occur; provide thorough explanations for any outstanding balances;
    • Provide accurate details of projected cash flows to enable Treasury to manage daily and weekly cash requirements.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with commercial teams;
  • Ensure full compliance with policy;
  • Ensure delivery of high quality customer service;
  • Manage aged debt and cash forecasting;
  • Deal with a wide variety of ad-hoc queries timely and escalate as appropriate;
  • Identify and assist in delivering continuous improvement ideas;
  • Actively participate and support projects as appropriate;
  • Provide exceptional internal and external customer service in order to build and strengthen relationships.

In the Trading Settlements Senior Analyst role we have the following requirements:

  • Relevant degree;
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in finance or accounting;
  • Fluency in English;
  • General understanding of Accounts Payable and Receivable principles;
  • SAP experience is an advantage;
  • Developing and delivering Continuous Improvements ideas;
  • Experience in commodity trading settlements is an advantage;
  • Good analytical skills;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Good problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Good stakeholder management/customer service capabilities;
  • Team player attitude;
  • Ability to handle pressure and deliver against deadlines.
