Job Description:

The project HSE Manager is integrated into the HSE department of TechnipFMC Paris operating center and reports to the Onshore/Offshore segment HSE manager(s) hierarchically and to the project Director/Manager functionally. He is dedicated to the preparation and implementation of the HSE Management system of the budgets he is in charge of, and following the below perimeter:

  • Implement TechnipFMC HSE policies and programs during the entire duration and all the phases of the project;
  • Assist the project Director/Manager in developing of project’s leaders HSE leadership capabilities;
  • Prepare the Pulse roll out plan for the projects;
  • Have a clear understanding of the regulatory requirement of the projects, on all its locations and ensure that the necessary means are defined and in place for compliance;
  • Ensure that HSE procedures and plan are prepared for the project, in line with client’s requirement and TechnipFMC standards and applied to all personnel and SUBCONTRACTOR;
  • Prepare a strategic approach for HSE on the entire projects and assist Project Director / Manager to define TechnipFMC’s statistical accountability;
  • In line with the accountability, define a HSE plan and resources for the project and for the site, yard and offshore activities;
  • Assist the subcontracting manager in the qualification of subcontractor, perform gap analysis and advise on actions to be put in place to align SUBCONTRACTOR HSE management system with TechnipFMC requirements;
  • Have a comprehensive understanding of the Project HSE risks associated to manufacturing, fabrication, construction, precommissioning and commissioning operations, marine works and logistics;
  • Implement a risk management process with a clear follow up of actions items;
  • Establish the project HSE performance monitoring program: Leading and Lagging KPIs in compliance with TechnipFMC and client’s requirements;
  • In a partnership execution, and as per the term of JV or consortium agreement, act as operational leader to ensure that Best industrial practices will be developed for the project;
  • Reports all incidents, ensure that an Investigation report is issued for all and incorporated into the Synergi database; participates/leads SIF cases accident investigation as per the terms of reference issue by TechnipFMC;
  • Audit regularly site and projects;
  • Manages and develops site/yard/offshore HSE teams.

You are meant for this role if you have/are:

  • Master degree with a specialty in Health, Safety and environment;
  • 10 to 15 years’ experience of an onshore/offshore construction site;
  • Offshore experience is a plus;
  • Certified auditor is a plus;
  • Profession level of the English language is mandatory. Other languages is a plus;
  • Strong leadership and communication capabilities, able to carry and empower TechnipFMC’s HSE requirements across the project;
  • Able to work in a stressful environment and mobile;
  • Ability to coordinate multiple teams, in a multi-cultural environment;
  • Strong experience of implementation of Best HSE practices, including but not limited to OSHA requirement, OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 mechanisms.
