You will be part of a dynamic and international Supply & Trading team where you will report into the Commercial Director for Germany and into the relevant VARO Product Book Leader. This position provides you the opportunity to optimize our entire fuels value chain in Germany and beyond.
As our Inland Supply Trader you are at the helm of our Fuels Value Chain optimisation. You define our overall sourcing- and sales strategy, and manage the exposure on the main fuels such as diesel, heating oil, gasoline and kerosene. You are our eyes and ears in the market, as you build and maintain close contact with other market participants. Your commercial input flows into the Supply Planning Team, that in return will provide a continuous update on our supply & demand balance.
The position we offer has a specific focus on Germany, one of the biggest and most dynamic inland markets in Europe, and onAustria. VARO group has commercial activities in many other neighbouring countries, offering plenty of opportunity for further cross border optimisation.
You are VARO Germany’s main point of contact in the trading market with regards to sourcing and bulk sales. You set our overall sales strategy to keep it aligned with our sourcing portfolio, our hedging strategy and with VARO’s wider strategic interests.You set stock targets in Germany and take hedging decisions accordingly.
Your key tasks include the following:
